BOX MANIA - THE NEW CONCEPT TAKING SMALL HALL BOXING TO THE BIG TIME

Goodwin Promotions are pulling out all the stops on September 23rd, as we return again to York Hall to give boxing fans a fantastic non TV show: Boxmania 5. Prospects, established TV fighters and champions gather for a night that will go down as one of the best shows York Hall has seen – time is very limited to make sure you are a part of it. Two English title fights and a Southern Area title fight, will electrify the historic venue.

BOX MANIA is an exciting concept in the world of small hall boxing. It will focus on elevating the small hall boxing experience by providing electrifying atmospheres, TV level production, top quality 50/50 title fights and packed arenas to create a television-worthy show. Steve Goodwin, a prominent boxing manager and promoter, has played a pivotal role in its development and promotion.

The concept's emphasis on fantastic matchups and creating a captivating atmosphere will attract both boxing enthusiasts and casual fans. The fact that BOX MANIA has scheduled events on specific dates, such as the upcoming ones on September 23, 2023, and December 2, 2023, suggests a commitment to a regular schedule and building anticipation for its shows.
Fans of the sport will likely be eager to tune in to these events to witness the action and excitement it promises to deliver.

The 23 September show was originally to have 7 title fights but due to injuries is down to 3 but still an amazing show.

Brad Pauls, the knockout artist from Cornwall, battles undefeated Mitch Frearson for the English middleweight title. Pauls will be looking to raise the belt in his second shot, following a points defeat to Tyler Denny in February 2023. Frearson is on the up and fancies his chances of winning a major title at his first attempt.

Two of the brightest super lightweight talents in the country, Denis Denikajev and Sajib Abid, will meet head-on for the English title. With a single loss between them in 24 fights, it promises to be a clash of two talents, both with eyes beyond this title.

Another super lightweight title fights sees two more undefeated boxers collide, as Finchley’s Yaser Al Ghena takes Sutton’s Aaron Prospere for the Southern Area belt. Al Ghena is the home undefeated fighter whilst Prospere (11 wins and no losses) is on a roll in 2023, picking up three wins to date, and this fight represents the toughest challenge to date for both men.

Southern Area Featherweight Champion Lewis Frimpong, Billy Stanbury,  Tyler Chambers, Ross McGuigan, Tom Simmons all take part too in what promises to be the biggest night at York Hall of 2023.

The show forms part of the showcase Boxmania series, created quarterly by Goodwin Boxing to give fans true value for money. Already Saturday December 2nd should be pencilled into calendars, when another pulsating card will be bring fans back to York Hall.

“We are going all in on Box Mania shows” said Steve Goodwin, head of Goodwin Boxing. “I don’t just mean the fights, but they are incredible. We have worked so hard behind the scenes to make this work financially. But with such a spectacle we want to make it unforgettable. We are getting the best production, screens, lighting – the lot. These fighters deserve it and the paying fans deserve it. This will be better than 90% of what you see on TV, I promise you. The fights, the show, the lot.”
