Whilst many are taking a break from boxing, Steve Goodwin has continued his relentless pursuit of signing quality boxers to add to the impressive Goodwin stable. Today he is delighted to announce the signing of former Haringey Box Cup winner and London ABA Champion Curtis Felix.
Felix hails from Milton Keynes and will campaign in the Welterweight division. Felix makes his debut at York Hall on 12th November on the Goodwin promoted “BACK OF THE NET” event which features former Premiership footballer Leon McKenzie challenging for the English Super-Welterweight title against Jahmaine Smyle.
With Leon topping the bill the event will attract massive press coverage and is the sort of event a young fighter would love to make his debut on. “When Steve offered me the opportunity of making my debut on such a great show, I jumped at the opportunity” said Felix.
Goodwin said “I have known about Curtis for some time. He lives and trains locally to us and with our plans to stage shows in the Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire area this signing adds to the quality we have in the area.” Goodwin continued “I believe that Curtis has the style and ability to take him a long way and we are delighted to be playing a big part in this.”
