Three-time World Kick Boxing Champion Steven Cook from Aylesbury has made the decision to return to Professional boxing in pursuit of titles in that sphere.

After having two bouts in 2016 and 2017 Cook was not happy with his career was going and decided to pursue the kick-boxing route where Cook has had amazing success.

With his contractual options becoming free Cook decided to assemble a new team behind him. Empowered by the success of his good friend, English Middleweight Champion Linus Udofia, Cook joined the same management team with Steve Goodwin and the Goodwin Boxing team from nearby in Leighton Buzzard.

Goodwin then arranged a new training set up for Cook and introduced him to Andy Gill from Evolve in Amersham. They hit it off straight away and the team was fully assembled.

Cook will return to the ring at York Hall on 7th March where he will take on a former three times Southern Area Champion Jamie Speight.

“I want to make a statement,” said Cook “A large part of being successful is surrounding yourself with an excellent team. I have done so this time and cannot wait to get started.”

Goodwin was delighted with the new signing “We don’t look back we look forward and I believe Steve has what it takes to win titles in his second combat sport. We are going to move him quickly through the ranks and cannot wait to get started.”
