Hot on the heels of managing Nicola Adams to the WBO Interim World Title and taking Sam Smith to compete for Commonwealth and European titles, Goodwin Boxing unveil their latest female signing.
Former Flyweight Elite finalist Rebecca McMullin has turned professional and signed a three-year management contract.
27-year-old Rebecca has taken time to make her decision to turn professional but after consulting with coaches Shane Radmore and Marlee Dann she has teamed up with the powerful Goodwin team to take her through to aspirations of a World title.
Manager Steve Goodwin has been a big advocate of female boxing “I have enjoyed looking, after all, my female boxers and they deserve an equal platform with their male counterparts. Rebecca is exceptionally talented and in a weight category that means I should be able to manoeuvre her to titles relatively speedily.”
Rebecca was delighted to sign with the Goodwin team “I am really excited at what the future holds. I have a background in football as well and am expecting a big fan base to follow my journey”. She continued “I would love to follow in the footsteps of Katie Taylor and Nicola Adams and reach the top of Women’s world boxing.”
Rebecca has to go through the formalities of a Boxing board hearing and subject to all going well is expected to debut October/November this year.
