Goodwin Boxing are pleased to reveal talented and highly touted super featherweight Jimmy Cooper as the latest boxer to sign Managerial terms. The undefeated 24 year old from Hampshire has chosen Goodwin Boxing to help move his career on towards championship level.
Cooper joins with a rich amateur pedigree, boasting an impressive CV of achievements. 14 South Counties titles, ABA finalist, two time NABS British champion as well representing England, Cooper was also on the verge of joining up with the GB squad having had trials. He left the amateur sport having amassed over 70 victories and some impressive scalps amongst them, such as Reece Belotti, Mitchell Smith and Zak Davies.
At 23 Cooper made the decision to turn professional. A draw in his first bout was quickly improved upon as he was victorious in his second and third. "The start was a hiccup" says Cooper. "I am pleased to have learnt early on in my career and built upon it. Now signing with Steve and the rest of the team at Goodwin Boxing I am confident that the next stage of my career I can show exactly what I am capable of."
Fitting his five foot eleven frame into the super featherweight division, Cooper is keen to start fulfilling his potential in the professional ranks. It is something that Steve Goodwin is confident can happen with his team. "We have known about Jimmy Cooper for a long time" says Steve. "We are pleased that he has chosen now to join us. The list of boxers that we manage is always growing and having Cooper amongst them shows that the quality is also increasing."
With the UK having a number of high quality super featherweights it is a good time for Cooper to join the Goodwin Boxing team and take his amateur pedigree through to professional championships.
