Jamie Smith Boxer

Goodwin Boxing is delighted to announce the signing of leading amateur Jamie Smith.
Smith from Marlow in Buckinghamshire had a stellar amateur record winning the Haringey Box Cup, the Novice ABA’s, the English title and reached the quarter-finals of the Elite Senior ABA’s.
Trained by Andy Gill the 27-year-old has a massive future ahead of him. “We met the Goodwin team a week ago after meeting other managers prior to this. It was a no brainer to sign with Steve and the team said Jamie.”
For Smith he feels the time is right to turn professional. “At 27 I believe I have done my learning and my apprenticeship and now am ready to translate this to the professional ranks.”
Subject to Boxing board formalities and approval Jamie aims to make his debut on 23rd November at York Hall, Bethnal Green.
“We have done so well with title-winning Cruiserweights over the last few years Menay Edwards (Southern Area), Lawrence Bennett (Southern Area), Deion Jumah (Southern Area) Daniel Mendes (Southern Area), Nick Parpa (Southern Area), Arfan Iqbal (English), Wadi Camacho (Southern Area and Commonwealth) are all fighters I have manged through to titles and going forward I fully expect Jamie to add to this list.”
“The future is bright for Jamie and we cannot wait to get started” concluded Goodwin.
