Goodwin Boxing are delighted to announce that they have secured the signing of 22 year old ABA Champion Sam Cox. Cox from Islington, London has signed a three year contract with manager Steve Goodwin and will debut at York Hall on 8th July. Cox will compete in the Bantamweight division and will be aiming to put himself into major title contention within this 3 year period.
Cox mixed in good company in the amateurs winning the Junior ABAs in 2013 and in the same year winning the CYP’s. He also got into the Guinness book of records becoming the world’s youngest referee as an amateur.
Now Cox wants to establish himself as a professional and believes he has the tools to become a World Champion.
“I believe I can go all the way. It was an easy choice to go with the Goodwin’s. I had a meeting and liked what I heard. I then made calls to various boxers under their management and they all said they had had a great experience working with them and that just ratified it for me”. Sam concluded “York Hall will be rocking on 8th July.”
Goodwin was delighted with the signing “We are delighted with the continued top class boxers signing with us. We work extremely hard for every single boxer we represent and go that extra mile. We never forget or appreciate the faith that boxers show in us.”
