CURRENT SOUTHERN AREA SUPER WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPION
30 year old Obi (Kingsley) signed with Goodwin Boxing in April 2023. Manager Steve Goodwin promised to make him a champion and get him title fights.
After a 6 round warm up, Obi was secured an English title shot against holder Lee Cutler. Obi put up a fantastic peformance in a back and forth tussle losing on points with one judge only seperating them by one point.
With faith in his fighter manager Goodwin secured Obi a Southern Area title bout on a Wasserman TV show against former for Jordan Dujon who had beaten Obi 2 years earlier over 6 rounds. Revenge was on the cards and Obi ran out victorious with a 96-94 decision on referee Kieran McCann's card.
Currently with a career resume of 9-3-1 Obi can go from strength to strength.
For such a decorated amateur it was a sin that at the age of 30 Obi had not won a title. Signing with Goodwin Boxing changed that.
